Gate Opener Infrared Remote
An infrared remote for an automatic gate opener allows you to control your gate from a distance, while the infrared sensor provides safety by detecting obstacles and automatically reversing the gate's movement if an obstruction is encountered. Here's a breakdown:
-
Infrared (IR) Remote:This is a standard remote control, similar to those used for televisions, that transmits a signal to the gate opener using infrared light. You press a button on the remote, and it sends a coded signal to the gate opener's receiver, which then activates the gate motor.Â
-
Infrared (IR) Sensor:This sensor, often found near the gate, emits an infrared beam. If an object (like a person or car) breaks this beam while the gate is closing, the sensor detects the interruption and signals the gate opener to stop and potentially reverse its direction to prevent accidents.Â
-
Auto-Open/Close Functionality:Many automatic gate openers also have an "auto-close" feature, allowing you to set a timer for the gate to automatically close after a certain period (e.g., 5, 10, or 20 seconds). This adds convenience by eliminating the need to manually close the gate.Â
-
Remote Range:The range of the remote control can vary, but typical ranges are around 100 feet (30 meters). Some systems can handle a larger number of remote controls (e.g., up to 25).Â
-
Safety and Security:The infrared sensor adds a layer of safety to your gate system. The automatic reversing feature helps prevent accidents and property damage.Â
-
Other Features:Some automatic gate openers also include features like:
- Manual release:Â Allows you to manually open and close the gate in case of power outages or other emergencies.Â
- Overheating protection:Â The motor may have a built-in protection mechanism to prevent overheating.Â
- Multiple control options:Â Some systems can also be controlled via a wireless keypad or even through a smartphone app.Â
- Manual release:Â Allows you to manually open and close the gate in case of power outages or other emergencies.Â

A gate opener's remote control radio receiver is a device that receives radio signals from a handheld remote control, triggering the gate opener's motor to open or close the gate.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
-
Receives Signals:The receiver picks up radio waves transmitted by the remote control.Â
-
Decodes Commands:It interprets the specific signal pattern to understand the desired action (e.g., open, close, stop).Â
-
Controls Devices:The receiver then sends signals to the gate opener's motor, causing it to move the gate accordingly.Â
-
Part of a System:It's a crucial component of the remote control system, working with the transmitter (remote) to enable wireless control of the gate.Â
-
Frequency:Gate opener receivers typically operate on frequencies like 433 MHz or 315 MHz.Â
-
Installation:The receiver is usually wired to the gate operator's control board and may require programming to associate it with specific remote controls.Â
USB Gate Operator Remote
$107.30
USB Gate Operator Remote
A USB gate operator remote control is a device that allows you to open and close automatic gates or garage doors by plugging a USB dongle into your car's USB port and using it as a remote. USB Gate Operator Remote emits a sensing signal upon receiving a command from the USB port, which then triggers the gate opener to open or close the driveway gate. Here's a more detailed explanation: -How it works: USB Dongle: The device typically includes a small USB dongle that plugs into your car's USB port. Sensing Signal: When the USB is plugged in and the car is in the "on" mode, the dongle emits a sensing signal. Receiver: The signal is received by a unit connected to the driveway gate motor. Gate Motor Activation: The receiver then activates the gate motor, causing the driveway gate to open or close. -Key features: Dual Control Modes: Some models offer both automatic and manual modes, allowing you to operate the gate either by proximity sensing or by pressing a button on the USB dongle. Compact and Portable: The USB dongle is small and lightweight, making it easy to use and store in your car. Easy Installation: It's designed for simple plug-and-play functionality, requiring no complex setup. Replacement Accessory: It serves as a convenient replacement for traditional gate remote controls.Related products

Product Sheet PDF More information about the swing gate openers: WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SWING GATE MOTORS? 1- Articulated Arm for Swing Gate Operators How do automatic gates work with articulated swing gate motors? An articulated arm electric gate opener uses a two-part arm with an ‘elbow’ joint to connect the motor to the gate. This arm protrudes from the gate motor body, so there has to be room for the arm to move as the driveway gate opens and closes. This type of electric gate opener is easier to install than other types, thanks to the geometry of the arm system. They can be slightly more expensive than other gate motors, but they open and close automated gates quickly. Many homeowners like discrete gate automation systems, and articulated arm motors can be more obvious when installed. However, many have the control system built into one of the motors. These motors for automatic gates are mounted on the inside of gates so they’re not seen from the outside of closed gates. In the event of power failure or mechanical breakdown, articulated arm motors can normally be released manually from outside the gate with an optional cable release system. All articulated arm gate operators are electric gate motors that can be either 120VAC or 24VDC. All 24V and some 120V versions have obstacle detection. This means that the gates stop moving and some even reverse when they come into contact with an object during operation. Articulated arm gate automation systems can be the best choice where each electric gate opener is mounted on a large gate pier or pillar. 2- Ram And Linear Screw Automatic Swing Gate Openers Ram gate automation motors push and pull a piston mounted on the gate. Linear screw electric motors for gates use an electric motor to rotate the gate mounting along a threaded shaft. Both types of electric gate motors are slim and don’t need a lot of space to operate. However, this advantage does mean that they require careful alignment during installation. Manual release systems are only available from inside the driveway gate. A ram or linear screw type of motor for automatic gate control is attached to the gate at one end and the gate pillar or post at the other end. Ram motors can be hydraulic or driven by electric motors, but all require a separate control box. As with articulated arm motors, 120Vac, and 24Vdc, you can buy versions with obstacle detection for safer operation. Additionally, heavy-duty versions of each type of electric gate opener are available that will operate larger gates with leaves up to 7m long. These electric gate openers can be the best gate automation solution when price is important. Their simpler design and operation can make them a cost-effective solution compared to other types of electric gate motors. 3- Underground Swing Gate Operators Many Canadian homeowners choose underground gate automation motors because they are very discreet. This is because each underground gate opener is hidden under the hinge end of each swing gate. But how do automatic gates work when they’re opened and closed by hidden underground motors? During installation, a carefully positioned hole must be dug to house a foundation box for each underground gate opener. The housing for each underground electric gate motor needs sufficient drainage to prevent the motors from sitting in water, or they will fail. Underground electric gate motors don’t need a lot of space to operate and can be installed on the inside or back of gate pillars. They are usually only installed behind gate pillars when the gates must open more than 90 degrees, so that the post or pillar does not obstruct the gates. With the addition of a 180-degree gate opener, your gates can open much wider than 90 degrees. This is an optional chain drive system for driveways that bend around behind the gate pillars. If the gate only opened to 90 degrees, it could block part of the driveway. But a 180-degree gate opener system means that it can keep going past 90 degrees, so it doesn’t block the driveway. Normally, underground automation of gates is the most expensive solution, but they are almost invisible. It is possible for the most powerful underground gate opener to open and close a swing gate up to 5m long. Underground motors for automatic gates can be manually released from outside the gate. These types of gate motors can be either hydraulic or electromechanical. A separate control box is required, and 120VAC and 24VDC versions with obstacle detection are available. Underground gate opener installation is not simple, and it should always be installed by professional electric gate engineers. Underground gate automation could be the best style for you if you want a discreet, almost invisible electric gate motor installation and you have the budget for this more expensive option.A swing gate opener is a device that automates the opening and closing of a swing gate, typically using a motor and a control system.
It provides a convenient and secure way to control access to a property, whether residential, commercial, or industrial. These openers can be used with various gate types, including those that swing inward or outward.Â

Dual swing gate opener –HiGate HGSW950
A dual swing gate opener is a motorized system designed to automatically open and close a double swing gate, which consists of two gate panels that meet in the middle.
Each gate panel has its own opener mechanism, allowing them to swing open in opposite directions simultaneously. This setup is common for driveways and other entry points where a wider opening is needed without requiring a single, longer gate.Â
-
Dual Swing Gates:These gates have two leaves or panels that swing open, typically inward or outward, to create an opening.Â
-
Dual Opener Mechanisms:Each leaf of the gate is equipped with its own opener mechanism, which is usually an arm that pushes or pulls the gate.Â
-
Synchronized Movement:The two opener mechanisms are designed to work together, opening and closing the gate leaves in a coordinated and synchronized manner.Â
-
Applications:Dual swing gate openers are commonly used for driveways, parking lots, and other areas where a wide opening is needed and a single gate might be too large or impractical.Â
-
Benefits:They offer space efficiency as they require less space to swing open compared to a single, long gate. They can also provide a more elegant and sophisticated look to the entrance.Â
