Exit Loop Car Detector
An Exit Loop Car Detector, also known as a Free Exit Loop, is a system that uses a buried wire loop and a loop detector to automatically open a gate when a vehicle approaches from the exit side.
The underground exit loop detector allows vehicles to leave a property without needing to operate a remote control, keypad, or other security device.
How it works:
-
1. Loop Installation:
A wire loop is installed in the driveway, typically in a rectangular shape, and connected to a loop detector.
-
2. Vehicle Detection:
When a vehicle drives over the loop or is within its detection range, the loop’s inductance changes, which is detected by the loop detector.
-
3. Gate Activation:
The loop detector sends a signal to the gate operator, causing the gate to open automatically, allowing the vehicle to exit.
-
4. Safety Feature:
Exit loops can also act as safety devices, preventing the gate from closing on a vehicle that is still in the exit path.
Benefits:
- Convenience: Provides a seamless exit for vehicles, especially for guests, delivery drivers, or visitors.
- Automation: Eliminates the need for manual gate operation on exit.
- Safety: Helps prevent accidents by ensuring the gate remains open while a vehicle is exiting.
