Common Problems with the Automatic Gate Remotes

*The LED light on the top part of the automated gate opener indicates that a command to open or close the gate has been given.

If the light didn’t light up when you pressed the remote key, then your problem can either be the batteries or the life span of the controller.

Sometimes the remote control’s LED light shows on, but the amperage of the battery is not enough to send the signal to the radio receiver.

*The gate remote control working range depends on the brand, model, and frequency.

The remote working range will be negative-effective, if the receiver that is located in the main control board is near the high voltage electric sources, the metal fences, or radio station/mobile antennas.

The regular working range for a regular remote control in the city is 15-40 meters.

The first sign that you can know the battery has to be replaced is the working ranges going less, most on wet days!
Try changing the batteries with the new ones.

If the problem continues after you have replaced the batteries then it is obvious that you need to buy a new remote controller since the old one has probably run out of its “working hours”.

*Most of the remote control’s electronic boards get damaged when dropped off to the ground.
This can happen 10 times without any issue, but maybe in 11th time you were not as lucky as before, so you have to take care of the gate clickers and fobs, because of the reprogramming, and replacement of new remote control costs.

*Remote controls do not come with a warranty due to the sensitivity of their electronic components to shocks and accidental damage.

*New remote controls need to be set with the gate opener’s radio receiver and must be done by a professional technician.

The instruction manual settings and frequency vary between different brands and models of gate operator systems, rendering them incompatible.

To find a compatible gate remote, contact a technician or the supplier you purchased it from.

If your remote control needs replacement or additional units during the warranty period, it is advisable to contact your gate company and submit a service request to avoid voiding the guarantee.

*The radio frequency of remote controls that come with the Italian/Chinese-made gate operator systems are not compatible with the common garage door brands -like as Lift master- remotes.

Also, you can not use this kind of remote directly to program the home-link vehicle garage door opener clicker programmable systems.

To do this it has to add an external radio receiver -like the Liftmaster- to switch the impossible radio frequency to the possible radio frequency.
If you would like to have it, will need parts and service charges.
